EDM04 London, England February 16-17, 2004

The fourth annual European Directory Marketplace Conference (EDM04) was held at the Copthorne Tara in London, England.  Conference participants represented 56 organizations and 17 countries.

The conference focused on new developments in the Directory Assistance industry, specifically:

• Lessons to be learned from the UK experience.  The UK experience of the last few months offers tremendous opportunities for leaning what works well and what doesn't work well in this market.

• What new products and services are evolving?  The directory market is experiencing rapid change with such developments as automated speech, web directory access, location based service, enhanced mobile services, and more.

• What new markets are developing?  Directory markets are evolving at different rates in different locations, and conference speakers will be looking at new geographic opportunities.
